Two new reviews up for "The Longest Road in the Universe" today; the first from
Stephen Hunt's SF Crowsnest* and the second from SFRevu. Both are positive, and both are part of favorable reviews for Murky Depths Issue #7 as well, which is really great.

"Akhila, Divided" has been favorably reviewed by Michael M. Jones of SF Site. The full text of the review can be found at the foregoing link.
Clockwork Phoenix: Tales of Beauty and Strangeness has made the Locus Recommended Reading List for 2008!.
Congratulations to Vera Nazarian, Mike Allen, and all my fellow authors. CP really is a beautiful book.
Two great pieces of news have found their way to me in the last couple of days:
- Vincent Chong has been nominated for a British Science Fiction Award in the Best Artwork category for the cover of Murky Depths Issue #4, which includes the story "Casting Sin" by yours truly. Sure, *I* wasn't nominated, but I'm thrilled for Chong.
- I'm on the cover of Murky Depths Issue #7, which includes my epistolary story "The Longest Road in the Universe." This is my first appearance on a magazine cover, and what an outstanding cover to appear on!
I am pleased to report that Anne Niven has accepted my short poem "Godtouched" for publication in a forthcoming issue of PanGaia.

Mike Allen has just learned that Gardner Dozois reviewed Clockwork Phoenix: Tales of Beauty and Strangeness in the December issue of Locus, giving it the same treatment he gave it a few months ago in The Best New Stories Of 2008. While "Akhila, Divided" wasn't a favorite, Dozois did mention my name in association with others who had written solid SF stories in the anthology, and coming from the Caesar himself, that's praise I can live with.
To my knowledge, this will be the first mention of my name as an author in Locus, which is another thing to be glad about.
Clockwork Phoenix: Tales of Beauty and Strangeness, which includes my dark science fantasy story "Akhila, Divided," has made the Locus 'New and Notable' list. I continue to be so proud of this anthology and of the inclusion of "Akhila, Divided" in it.
Good on ye, little story. Good on ye.
I am pleased to announce that my poem entitled "Upon the Death of My Host and Waiting for Uplink: by Event Horizon, formerly of the Oracle Duality Liselle Marie Michaud / Event Horizon" will appear in Strange Horizons.
My short story entitled "Casting Sin" is now available in Murky Depths.
